Manifesto

Hacer Aldea is a hand-made atlas of Valle de Bravo. Somebody went to see, verify or ask about every entry in it. It is not an automatic directory and it does not pretend to be complete.

What we do not do

• No reviews, no stars. A place is not better for having more opinions.
• We do not charge to be listed, or to be listed higher.
• We sell no tickets and take no commission on anything that happens here.
• There is no feed, no followers, no private messages.

Locations

Some points on the map are blurred on purpose. Whoever keeps a temazcal up the hill, or works from home, decides how precise their point is — and “none” is a valid answer.

Seeded entries

Many entries we wrote ourselves before speaking to the people who keep the place. They are marked. Once someone claims one it reads “cuidado por su gente” and stops being ours.

Who decides

Curation decides what is published. The people who keep a place decide what their entry says. If something is wrong, the report button reaches a person the same day.
